Our history
About us
Starting Finance Clubs are university associations operating in major Italian faculties and are part of the Starting Finance network, an Italian startup aimed at bringing young people closer to economics and finance to help them understand the world around them. The Clubs serve as meeting places for students passionate about finance and economics, allowing them to engage in practical activities and build a community united by shared goals.
Starting Finance Club Bologna focuses on writing articles on economic and financial topics and creating a simulated investment portfolio. Additionally, the club organizes events with prominent guests open to the entire University of Bologna and company visits to interesting businesses.

Mission:
Providing members with training and practical skills in the field of finance and economics. Through events, workshops, and educational activities, we aim to develop our members’ abilities, preparing students to confidently face the professional challenges of the financial sector.
Network
Present across Italy, the 36 active Starting Finance Clubs form a network that fosters collaboration and knowledge-sharing among students. Thanks to this network, the clubs organize joint events, share resources, and create networking opportunities with industry experts, providing members with unique support to grow in the world of finance.

The origins
In January 2023, two economics students, Luca and Francesco, decide to refound the club, involving their friends and launching an initial event at Confindustria. With a strong focus on events, their goal is to bridge the gap between university and the professional world. To achieve this, they dedicate time and effort to social media communication, build a network of contacts, and shape the club.
